On Monday evening we talked a bit about RDW's direction and process.
We asked the question: "What do we want the Ridge Democratic Women to be and to do?"
Our brainstorm list was pretty full, and we found that there was a lot of agreement and consistency in the responses. There were some specific details and some more general thoughts, but over all, we generally agreed
- to advertise to let people know about our meetings
- to be an informal group
- to have rotating facilitators (volunteers, of course!)
- that we'd like to become a "known" entity in the community through our actions
After this big discussion, we added to the brainstorm list of possible actions we could take, reviewed many upcoming events and meeting dates, and spent a significant amount of time sharing ideas, information, plans, and stories.

To Burn or not to Burn
Are you interested in being on a committee to address open burning issues with the public?
Please send any ideas to the coordinator Mary Drew

I've got news for the November meeting about climate change. I posted info about it on my blog that I just started www.robinhuffman.blogspot.com
BCAQMD is workshopping the open burning issues. There was an Air Quality representative at the Butte County Fire Safe Council meeting Nov. 7 to give them a heads up.
